Do you like to stretch? I hate it. I just don't have the time. I feel like when I get home from a run..usually the long ones I have so much stuff to do. Like paying attention to my four kids. But I do know that if I don't stretch then I will for sure pay for it on my next run. A couple days ago a friend called me and said please come to the a stretch intervention she was holding. A couple of guys from my church decided about 6 weeks ago that they where also going to run Grandmas Marathon. They both had run some in the past but this was there first marathon. Well long story short they don't stretch after. Never. And they are paying for it. They don't fuel during runs either but that is another post. Here are a few pictures from the intervention.
Who else hates to stretch??

I am the worst when it comes to stretching. It is hard enough for me to take the hour-hour and a half to run that stretching after usually is not an option :-/
ReplyDeleteI don't really stretch ever. I do some stretching for my back and shoulders before some runs if I remember but that's it. I've never stretched my legs in 30 years of running.
ReplyDeleteI know stretching sucks but soo important. I make it part of my day. When I get home from running I stretch while brushing my teeth, checking my email, in the shower. At work, I stretch while I read....just have to get it in in anyway possible!
ReplyDeleteI love stretching, it is just usually at the bottom of my priority list. I take Sunday's as a rest day and then go to a yoga stretch class at the gym.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate stretching SOOO bad! I am the absolute worst and definitely paid for it after my last marathon. I could barely walk for three days. Thanks for sharing and I promise to committ to 5 minutes a day okay? That at least a small start. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE stretching!! That class sounds like fun to me ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE to stretch. It not only feels amazing, but it gives you an excuse to be lazy and are still working your body. I do yoga all the time too for an added stretch.
ReplyDeleteI HATE to stretch. And I never do. My husband is always saying, 'You better start stretching. You're going to get injured.' And he's right. I'm INJURED!! Damn him being right!
ReplyDeleteSo I like to call myself a born-again stretcher.
I like to stretch because it feels amazing! But I feel like I never have time to!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I have been meaning to tell you how much I love your blog! Good luck with Grandma's!!
