Did I mention that I was able to shoot Guns while in Wyoming =) It was so much fun.
Thank you Aunt Sandy and Uncle Duncan.
This week although I am happy to say that my sisters and I are all together it is for a sad reason. Our dearest Grandpa Robert passed away last week. He was amazing and is already greatly missed. =( We love you Grandpa.
My dear Grandpa at one of our favorite Lunch Spots. They have a some delicious fried shrimp. This restaurant has been around longer then I have been alive. This place is so "old school" they don't even have a website...
I am excited to be with my sisters (and more family!!) this week and so far so good. I picked them up from the airport on Saturday evening, and then Sunday we went into boulder to watch some good friends of mine kick butt in the Bolder 1/2 Ironman. It was way hot and I was soo impressed by all of the hard work they put into getting through that race. It looked tough.
I nominate Heather and Sarah to sign up for an Ironman!! anyone else with me? They just look so natural standing in front of the ironman booth =)
We went for a walk with Grisz later that evening. Aren't we the best at posing for pics....
Sunday afternoon my family came over and my awesome Aunt Kim helped cook us up some delicious food. We had some turkey burgers, salad, chips, brownies.... it was delicious. Thanks Kim. She is one of the best cooks I know. I can only hope to be as skilled as she is in the kitchen.
Below is Kim mixing up some delicious Turkey burger heaven. It was SOO good. We ate it all before we realized we hadn't taken a pic, Whoops. Once she sends me the recipe I'll post it =)
Heather and Sarah doing there best to be useful in the kitchen. All I saw was laughing and not much cooking.....
Today we are going to wake up early and possibly run a few miles and then head over to Lifetime Fitness for a Total Conditioning class. I have been braggin' up this class to my sisters for months so hopefully they finally get to see what all the hype is about....
Tuesday I am going to drag them to my running club and hopefully we can all get in some good speed.
Wish us luck.
Love you Gramps! -Jen
Our thoughts are with you - I'm sorry for the loss of your grandpa.
ReplyDeleteLifetime Fitness, the real life Globo Gym.
ReplyDeleteSo sad about your grandpa! What an inspiration to his family!!
ReplyDeleteHow do I get adopted into your family? I don't run though.
So so sorry about your grandpa, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes all three of you should definitely do an Iron Man!
I'm sorry about your Grandpa. I lost mine last month and it was terribly sad and tough. It's hard to lose someone close. He put on his headstone "he ran life's race with his eyes fixed on Jesus". I try to remember that when I run.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you mention the Iron Man. I've been thinking about that myself lately. Just wiping out regular running and going for it!
I'm so sorry about your Grandpa!
ReplyDeleteY'all have to do the iron man!!
