The Pull-Up Challenge

CAN YOU DO IT?!?!

Come on, come on, come on, OUCH, oh this sucks. Don't touch the chair! Oh but I want too!!!



Dam that girl from P90X. She makes these look so easy.....I want to die. Why can my husband bust these out! Crazy men and there upper body strength!!!



VICTORY! I made it. Seriously I am having a hard time knowing I can run 26.2 miles and can barely do 1 pullup....and actually, after I took this photo I was so frustrated I could only do 1 that I went back down there and did 2 more! YES for being stubborn and forcing myself to suck it up. 


Can you do a pullup?
I can do 3, barely. and not without breaks in-between.

How many can you do?

Should we make up some kind of a pullup challenge?

I wonder if I will be sore tomorrow, good luck and give it a try. -Jen

  2. Hahaha those pictures made me laugh! I cannot do a pullup..or pushup... but I can also run 26.2 miles...

    I usually have to use the assisted machine and even then I have a hard time!

  3. I am SOOO terrible at pull-ups. I can do three...with breaks in between them too. I am always so sore after trying to do them that it is a week until I can do any again. I think you'll be feeling it tomorrow!

  5. 3 Pull ups!! You rock!

    Travis cranks out 23 at a time and it really ticks me off. Landon also cranks out about 15. Wait til Peter starts doing them then you'll really be mad :)

  8. Awesome pull up job! I can one chin up but not pull ups, and I dont know that really care to do one, they leave calluses!

  10. This reminds me of a year or so ago when I discovered that I could no longer do a back bend--I think it had just been too long--hadn't done it since I was a kid. So I worked on it and within 2 or 3 months I could do a back bend and hold it for 90 seconds. Keep working--you'll get it! :)

  15. I have nightmares about not being able to do a pull-up! It goes back to 4th grade when they did a Presidental Fitness test and I only got a National Fitness test because I couldn't do a pull-up. I have terrible upper body strength. I have ran 2 marathons and am training for a 3rd but being able to do a pull-up is one of my ultimate fitness goals!
